It’s that time of year again when kids in their driveway dream big of hoisting the Stanley Cup!
In the past, I’ve drawn pro athletes winning a trophy or holding up “Championship Savings” in a similar fashion. This year I wanted to do something different and thought about how kids pretend they are winning the finals in their driveway. I recalled as a kid that the ball ending up in flower beds and the rush to get to the ball first for possession to resume play in bounds. We’d try to balance that fine line between going for it and not destroying plants to be able to play there again in the future.
